Summer Programs
Meadowbrook Day Camp

The day camp has been owned and operated by the Meadowbrook School since 1955 when it purchased a small camp program that was leasing space at the school. Over the years the program and the facilities have evolved and expanded to what we offer and see today.

Our mission is to provide a high quality program where campers have the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally and physically. At Meadowbrook, campers can try new activities and improve their skill level in familiar ones, develop friendships with other campers and bond with their counselors while gaining independence and self-confidence; all in a fun, safe, nurturing environment.

The director, Dan Hanlon, has over 25 years of camping experience, and has been the director at Meadowbrook since 1997. A teacher, a parent of three children, and an ACA Camp Visitor, Dan's knowledge of children underpoins the entire day camp program. Dan's experience also includes teaching grades four through twelve and he holds an MEd in Special Education. He is always accessible to parents and enjoys interacting with campers every day.

The Meadowbrook Day Camp is a proud member of the American Camp Association (ACA), a voluntary, professional organization of camps and camp professionals who have committed themselves to safe, enriching, and competent camp programs. All ACA camps undergo an accreditation process every three years during which their programs are scrutinized with regard to ACA standards.
